Effective January 1, 2007 Delaware has changed their numbering system for UCC Financing Statements. The number issued to UCC Filings will be changed to include the full four-digit year and a seven digit filing number (example 2007 1234567). The new Numbering system is in addition to the legacy numbering conventions from prior years.
When filing your UCC-3 Financing Statements please use the following numbering conventions in Box 1A on the UCC-3 Financing Statement Form. All filings filed prior to 2000 will have a seven-digit file number that does not include the year (Example 1234567). All filings filed between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2006 will have an eight-digit file number that does not include a year (Example 12345678). All Filings from January 1, 2007 will require a number in the format that includes the year and the seven digit filing number.
