Arizona
January 1, 2007 was the effective date for certain changes to the corporations and limited liability company statutes contained in Senate Bill 2273 Chapter 320, including “easy withdrawal” of foreign corporations that have not issued shares or transacted business in the state to avoid tax clearance and publication. Maryland
Corporations, limited liability companies and limited liability partnerships that own agriculturally assessed real property used for that purpose may amend entity formation documents to declare purpose to be “family farm” and pay $100 annual report fee. Click here for more information.

Massachusetts
Chapter 393 of Laws of 2006, Senate Bill 2725, was signed by governor December 22 and exempts certain property of cooperative operations under Community Preservation Act. Click here for more information.

Chapter 438 of Laws of 2006, House Bill 3062, passed both houses December 26 and was signed by governor January 3 to enact a vehicle protection product warranty act effective June 1, 2007 requiring warrantors to register with the state Division of Insurance. Click here for more information.
