State Holidays

December 2007 and January 2008 State Holiday Closings

Listed below are state government office closures for the months of December 2007 and January 2008. This information was provided by each state as of December 6th, and may be subject to change without CSC's knowledge. CSC will update this information as we become aware of any changes. (Please note that court, county and local jurisdictions may vary.) As the holidays approach, many states will have last minute closures.


December 7th (Friday)

Offices in the following state will be CLOSED for Holiday Party:

Vermont

December 11th (Tuesday)

Offices in the following state will be CLOSED at 12:00 noon est. for the Inauguration Day:

Kentucky

December 14th (Friday)

Limited staff will be available for processing filings this afternoon in the following state for their annual holiday party:

New York

December 21st (Friday)

Personnel in the Division at the Secretary of State of Delaware will not be available between the hours of 12 Noon and 2 P.M. est. for the division employee recognition luncheon. Priority 1 and 2 filings/requests will not be processed during this time.

December 24th (Monday)

Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for Christmas Eve:

Delaware (Filings cannot be submitted to secure a file date)
Georgia
Indiana

North Carolina
North Dakota (1/2 day)

December 25th (Tuesday)

Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED for Christmas Day.

December 26th (Wednesday)

Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for the Day after Christmas:

North Carolina
South Carolina
Texas

December 31st (Monday)

Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for New Year’s Eve:

Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Tennessee
Virginia
West Virginia
Wisconsin

January 1st (Tuesday)

Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED for New Year’s Day.

January 18th (Friday)

Offices in the following state will be CLOSED for Lee/Jackson Day.

Virginia

January 21st (Monday)

Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED in observance of Luther King Jr. Day.


Holiday Schedule for Delaware Division of Corporations

Please be advised that the Delaware Division of Corporations has announced the following Holiday Schedule:

Friday, December 21, 2007

The Delaware Division of Corporations will be holding their Annual Employee Recognition Luncheon. As a result, the 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. shift will be working 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET. Thus, the following changes will be in effect:
  • All Priority 1 (one-hour service) must be received by 7 p.m. ET and Priority 2 (two-hour service) must be received by 6 p.m. ET. All other cut-off times will remain unchanged.
  • Personnel in the Division will not be available between the hours of 12 Noon and 2 p.m. ET.
  • Priority 1 and 2 filings/requests will not be processed between the hours of 12 Noon and 2 p.m. ET
  • DCIS, the Imaging System and Fax Gateway will be available until 10:30 p.m. ET for securing filing dates and times.
Monday, December 24, 2007 (Christmas Eve Day)

The Division of Corporations will be closed on Christmas Eve Day. Documents cannot be submitted on December 24, 2007 to secure a file date.

However, if there are specific business reasons for which you require the filing date of December 24, 2007, contact your CSC CSR immediately to discuss the Delaware Global Filing Service. Under this service a file date of December 24, 2007 can be secured, however, the filing must be received by the Delaware Division of Corporations by December 21st. The state will assess an additional $1000.00 service fee for this level of service and evidence will not be released until December 26, 2007.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007 (Christmas Day)

The Division of Corporations will be closed on Christmas Day.

Monday, December 31, 2007 (New Years Eve Day)

The 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. shift will be working 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET and the following changes will be in effect:
  • All Priority 1 (one-hour service) must be received by 7 p.m. ET and Priority 2 (two-hour service) must be received by 6 p.m ET. All other cut-off times will remain unchanged.
  • DCIS, the Imaging System and Fax Gateway will be available until 12 Midnight for securing filing dates and times.
Tuesday, January 1, 2008 (New Years Day)

The Division of Corporations will be closed on New Years Day.
